Nespelem Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc. is currently accepting applications for the position of Journeyman Lineman. This is a full time union position and requires performance of all responsibilities required of a Journeyman Lineman. Duties

  1. Satisfactorily perform all duties involving the construction and maintenance of the Cooperative’s electric lines and services; respond to trouble calls; handle line construction and operation; set and remove meters; maintain street and yard lighting; and other related duties as requested.
  2. Works harmoniously with assigned crew members and resolves issues as they arise
  3. Participates in tree trimming.
  4. Perform extensive customer contact work as a professional, knowledgeable, and courteous representative of the Cooperative.
  5. Responsibly handle vehicles, equipment, and tools provided for utility work.
  6. Observe and comply with safety practices, the Cooperative’s work rules, and county, state, and federal code regulations.
  7. Complete other tasks as requested.

Requirements

  1. Journeyman Lineman card required.
  2. Hot stick experience preferred.
  3. Possess a CDL Class A driver’s license and have a good driving record
  4. Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA required.
  5. Must be able to climb.

Nespelem Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc. is located 15 miles north of the Grand Coulee Dam and 35 miles south of Omak. NVEC serves the western area of the Colville Indian Reservation in beautiful Okanogan County in sight of the Grand Coulee Dam and the Chief Joseph Dam near Bridgeport. We serve 1,500 customers and maintain over 400 miles of line.
