- Keep your refrigerator temperature at 38 degrees.
- Freezer temperature should be maintained at 10 degrees.
- Defrost your freezer when ice or frost build up is 1/4-inch or thicker.
- Check your refrigerator/freezer door gasket periodically for signs of deterioration.
- Vaccum or brush the cooling coils in back of your refrigerator every six months.
- Allow hot food to cool for no less than a half-hour before placing in the refrigerator.
